Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

Acceptance of Minutes

The minutes of the March meeting were approved.

Leesa Monroe, the new Mobility Coordinator at Jefferson Transit, offered that Transit has received a multi-passenger van which will be made available to non-profit organizations. Any organization can contact Transit to find out about insurance and other requirements. Unfortunately, Transit still does not have an accessible van for group trips.

Public Access

We discussed the on-going effort to complete the evaluations of the cultural and entertainment facilities. In addition, Marion presented a fundraising letter targeted to solicit donations from the facilities we are evaluating.

Treasury/Fundraising

Current fund balance is $776.27. Emergency account $33.69. Lynn agreed to contact Century Link to determine if we can have our DASH phone number refer to a second number without incurring exhorbident fees.

The Norcliffe Foundation request was denied and the UGN application for 2013 has been submitted.

The PT Rotary has acknowledged the acceptance of our application for funds to pay for the printing of the Cultural and Entertainment Venues Brochure.

Outside Committee Work

Anna McEnery wants new blood for teaching Emergency Preparation classes to people with disabilities.

Next meeting: Tuesday, June 5th from Noon to 2:00 in the Uptown Community Center.
