Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

Acceptance of Minutes

The minutes of the May meeting were approved.

Public Access

The Board discussed the new law governing fees for State Park facilities. Exceptions to the new Discover Pass fee have been made for people with disabilities, seniors and veterans. Detailed information on the Discover Pass and Special Pass programs can be found on the DASH website under the “Links” section.

The recently revised Accessible Jefferson County Restaurant Brochure is now posted on our website and the distribution of stickers designating fully accessible restaurants has almost been completed. We also want to thank the City for installing grab bars in the restrooms at the Golf Course which brings the restaurant up to fully accessible status.

Treasury/Fundraising

Current general fund balance $1209.04. Emergency Account $541.76. The Board voted to provide an additional $300 to Firefly Web Design for web site maintenance.

Other Business

The Board decided to hold a Press event at the Silverwater Café to publicize the new Restaurant Brochure and also honor Nora Regan who has volunteered much of her time over many years to assist DASH with special events. We will finalize a date for a luncheon soon.

Outside Committee Work

Pat reported that as of July 1, the Jefferson and Clallam Housing Authority Boards formally joined to become the Penninsula Housing Authority.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:45 pm.
